Waimarama School

Waimarama School

Our small decile 1 school is striving to support our kids to be the best they can be, and we need your help to achieve this.

Hawke's Bay

Our 2-room decile 1 school is small but full of heart. We face a number of issues that make running our school a challenge. We compete with the popular, higher decile schools in Havelock North for our own resident's children. We also have a good number of transient families in Waimarama. This means that we are often operating under uncertainty with regards to our numbers and finances looking forward.

We believe our kids deserve to achieve their greatest potential - to be the best they can be. In order to do this, we'd like your help to raise funds to ensure we can provide them with the programmes, facilities, and teaching materials needed to extend their learning to its fullest.

Every dollar you donate will go towards listed fundraising projects on this page (updated regularly). You can also join our FRIENDS OF WAIMARAMA SCHOOL community by visiting our Facebook page www.facebook.com/groups/waimaramaschool and be kept up to date with everything that's going on, see how your greatly appreciated dollars are being spent and find other ways to engage with our kids learning at Waimarama School.

PAINT THE SCHOOL: Started Dec 2016

GOAL = $25,000 by March 2017

Our school buildings (2 classrooms, library, office and school house) are almost 10 years overdue for an outside paint job. We can't put it off any longer as we need to brighten the place up so our kids can be equally as bright and happy. The best time to do this in 2017 is during the first term holidays (April 2017), so we are looking for donations to help cover the costs of this paint job. We've done a lot of the work that we could do ourselves, but this has to be done by professionals and they aren't cheap!!!

Please help us reach our goal.
