Help fund the ongoing maintenance and improvements to the Waipu Coastal Trail, making it a safe, all-season track.
Langs Beach, Northland
The Waipu Coastal Trail is a popular walking track drawing visitors from far and wide who come to enjoy this spectacular and unique stretch of coastline.
2023 saw a significant upgrade to the track undertaken through a collaboration between the Wairahi Tracks Charitable Trust (WTCT) and the Whangarei District Council.
The WTCT undertakes regular maintenance to ensure the track can remain open all year for the enjoyment of locals and visitors alike.
The Trust is also investigating options for a bridge at the Waipu Cove end so that the stream can be safely crossed at high tide.
If you have enjoyed the track, please consider making a donation towards the project of its ongoing maintenance and improvement.
We develop and maintain walking and cycling tracks in the Langs Beach Area to enhance the recreational amenity of Bream Bay. Our current projects include ongoing maintenance of the Waipu Coastal Walkway, and the development of a shared walking and cycling trail from Langs Beach to Bream Tail Rd, which will eventually provide part of the vital link for a 45km trail across Bream Bay from Marsden Cove to Mangawhai Heads..
