The Wellington Association is a small, voluntary organisation dependent on grants and donations, providing support, advocacy and information to families affected by Huntington's Disease.
We cover the lower part of the North Island, including Gisborne, Hawkes Bay, Manawatu, Wairarapa, Taranaki, Wanganui and the greater Wellington area.
We have been supporting Huntington's affected families since 1980.
Our workers assist families affected by HD, whether they have the condition or are at risk of inheriting it.
Information is also provided to care-givers and professionals.
The Wellington Huntington’s Association is having a fundraising activity on Sat 30th July. We would love you to join us, and spread the word. The more people we can get, the more we will make.
This fundraiser involves Baylands Brewery and Queen of Jackson, who donate a 50 litre keg of beer and people pay what they want for a pint of beer (recommendation is at least $8 per pint).
All money raised from that keg between 3pm and 5pm is given to the Wellington Huntington’s Association as a donation.
