  • Dog Awareness Programme

      2 October 2015
    Main image

We are currently (Oct 2015 onwards) seeking to fund a dog awareness campaign in our region. We will erect permanent signs throughout our region, plus education information and programme to engage dog owners. This also includes giving back through our Kiwi Aversion Training for dogs (next instance is 17 October). This positive message campaign will cost $4,500 and so this is the amount we need to raise.

Our work has allowed a health & biodiverse forest/bush in our project area. We've been working with the Northland Regional Council to instal new Kauri Dieback information stations. We are determined to keep our kauri healthy. Here's a new sign with our mountain (Whakaangi) in the background.

Northern Regional Council visited us recently and was impressed by the amount and health of our kauri. We have been given kauri dieback kits to help educate people against the spread of this disease
