Our critical food rescue & distribution for Whanganui needs your support ! Hit DONATE, choose Monthly!→

Whanganui, Manawatu-Wanganui

We've had a hard year where we have faced potential closure many times over due to funding challenges. That is tough on the entire Whanganui community, especially the 17 partner organizations who rely on this rescued food every single day to feed people who need it!

BUT you can keep us open when you become one of the Monthly donors we need to keep our doors open! When you click "Donate" and choose a monthly, or weekly plan for $10 or more per month, you effectively:

• Pay for 7 meals worth of kai a month for a local child or adult in need

• Keep us rescuing food and delivering it to 21 Whanganui charities

• Earn a tax credit every month for your donation

Help us meet our goal of getting just 1% of Whanganui – 470 people – to join us, by filling in this quick form to become a monthly donor now by clicking the DONATE button now! →→

Please choose Monthly Option on the next page to become a regular donor! Ngā mihi!

P.S. More ways to help:

Spread the word: Share with whānau and coworkers... see how many you can get to join you as a donor!

Partnerships: Community is essential to survival of Kai Hub. If you have ideas for fundraising events or partnerships, please be in touch.

Single donations: Being a monthly donor won’t work for everyone – totally get it. So, if you have a single contribution to make, please choose that button.

Meri Kirihimete me te Tau Hou harikoa! Happy Holidays!   22 December 2025

As we wrap up the year, I want to share a quick update and a huge thank you. It’s been a big year for Kai Hub, with real challenges - but also so much to be proud of.

This year we’ve rescued more food than ever before, expanded some collections, strengthened our systems, connected more deeply with our community, and secured funding to keep us going well into next year. None of this would be possible without our amazing volunteers, supporters, and donors.

The need for access to kai continues to grow, and ongoing donations are crucial to help us keep rescuing and sharing food in our community. If you’re able to donate or keep donating, you’re directly helping us do this mahi every single day.

Thank you for being part of Kai Hub - we couldn’t do it without you 💚 Check out our thankyou vid below - and happy holidays (if you get one)

- Eryn on behalf of Kai Hub

2% Effective Fee
On average, fundraisers pay just 2% to use Givealittle. This is one of the lowest effective fees in New Zealand fundraising. We charge a 5% platform fee to cover the cost of running the platform. Because most donors choose to top up their donation to cover this fee, the effective cost paid by fundraisers is about 2%. That means around 98 cents of every dollar raised goes to the cause.
