After the cancellation of running days through Covid restrictions, help us to continue to grow the Heritage Railway at Mandeville.

Focusing on a specific historical period, enables us to best compliment other well established heritage railways in New Zealand and provides a truly unique rail heritage site in Southland

To date we have collected a large quantity of equipment including an operational 1879 locomotive (K92) and rolling stock, signalling equipment and other heritage items all awaiting restoration. We are now operational within the yard itself with our Rogers K92 Steam Train. However there is ongoing track construction needed to fully complete our layout. Stage 1 of a Restoration Building has been started funding is progressing well for Stage 2, this will enable us to place all of our Historic Carriages, Wagons and other rolling stock under cover.

The Covid19 impact has been the loss of income from numerous Running Days and Tourism Visitors to Mandeville. We are adjacent to the Croydon Aviation Heritage Centre in Southland.

2% Effective Fee
