Wellington Volunteer Coastguard

Wellington Volunteer Coastguard

Our role is to save lives at sea in the Wellington region.

Auckland

By being the rapid response unit for the Wellington area and ensuring that every step is taken to prevent lives and vessels being lost or damaged. We respond to a variety of situations from broken down boats, to provide medical assistance and aid in the recovery of missing persons at sea.

Our unit was established as a response to the Wahine disaster and we are still a strong and effective service in the region.
