Rasuwa flooding assistance 30 August 2026
YETI Nepal is raising funds for support of those in the Rasuwa region who have been affected by the devastating floods. Our Kathmandu partner organisation, Umbrella Nepal, has a long history of working in this region. At the moment they are assessing the situation and preparing to assist when permitted.
We would like to advise our supporters that there is no immediate impact to any of YETI's students however some of our current and former students have suffered wider family losses.
Our fundraising will go to Umbrella for providing grassroots supplies to those in need. And there is much need. People have lost everything. Winter is approaching in the Himalaya and there will be need for tents, bedding, warm clothing etc as people rebuild their shattered lives.
In the short term we will be contributing to the provision of food, water, utensil, sanitation and shelter.
We thank everyone who has given so generously. YETI is a micro-charity but we have a twenty year history of support. All your donations will make their way to Nepal and be used to support those in need.
Dhanyabhad
