Help us build Youth Hub Christchurch!
Canterbury
Youth Hub Christchurch aims to be a turning point in the lives of young people aged 10-25. The Hub will be the first of its kind in New Zealand and will be based in the heart of central Christchurch.
The Hub aims to deliver everything Christchurch's young people need to improve and maintain their mental health, from supported housing and health and support services to recreation and creativity.
Stage One of the Hub, which includes a supported housing wing with 23 bedrooms, a wraparound services block where a dozen youth providers can work and an outdoor activities courtyard is due to open late 2024/early 2025.
Our major funding partners are Anglican Care, The New Zealand Government, the Rātā Foundation, the Wayne Francis Charitable Trust, Weave, Rotary and the NZ Lottery Grants Board.
We continue to fundraise to fitout the facility, as well as for stage two which includes an apartment block with 5 apartments each with 2-3 bedrooms, a cafe which will be used for training purposes, creativity, music, performance and events spaces, an art gallery, education and training areas and planter boxes and greenhouses on the roof.
Currently under construction at 109 Salisbury Street in the central city, Youth Hub Christchurch is the first of its kind in New Zealand and will provide everything young people need to maintain and improve their mental health from supported housing and health and support services to recreation and creativity.
