The company was founded in January 2015 for the specific purpose of supporting the uptake of electric vehicles in New Zealand.
We initially started with a small fleet of 100% electric rental cars, intended to both give consumers a chance to trial these new vehicles while also give us a chance to learn about how to support and service them.
In 2016 we opened New Zealand's first dedicated specialist EV workshop and started working on solutions to refurbish and upgrade the battery packs in older electric cars, as we identified this not only as an obstacle to widespread uptake of EVs, but also as a limiting factor to their full carbon-saving potential.
We were awarded "SME EV Champion of the Year" at EV World in 2017 and this year we made Finalist at the SBN Awards 2019 (winner to be revealed in November).
