COMMUNITY FOCUSED -COMMUNITY DRIVEN
We are a passionate and dedicated small team of volunteers on a mission 2 S.E.R.V.E, (supporting, educating, respecting, valuing and empowering) people.
Through having identified the rapid increase of homeless in Auckland, and having spent time getting to know the homeless and hearing their issues, we have come up with some promising strategies that we have started working on.
OUR COMMUNITY FOCUSED PROJECTS -
HOMELESS NO MORE AOTEAROA FOOD DISTRIBUTION -Feeding and providing necessity items to the homeless living in Auckland City Centre Queen Street with the long term goal of placing the homeless into safe secure long term housing and providing ongoing support to help them to help themselves.
HOMELESS NO MORE AOTEAROA PIPI SANCTUARY PILOT PROGRAM - Is a holistic housing & well-being Pilot Program which will accommodate 64 homeless in a safe, secure and serene sanctuary environment where their physical, mental, emotional and spiritual well-being will be assessed, and a tailored program to wellness will be into their daily schedule as the first step of the program. As the majority of homeless identified as being Maori, Te Reo Maori will be taught to help our clients in reconnecting with their heritage and cultural identity.
The second step will be focusing on careers & self development coaching to prepare our clients for a meaningful career in the trades industry.
The third step is Entrepreneurship, through our collective tourism enterprise initiative by which we will run creative arts, design, craft, small business & money management workshops. Our clients will have the opportunity to display & sell their creations in our Sanctuary's retail shops & give live cultural and creative arts performances in our showtarium (performance arena).
NOTE: CURRENTLY WORKING THROUGH THE PLANNING & DESIGN OF THE SANCTUARY.
WE NEED FINANCIAL HELP TO DEVELOP & IMPLEMENT OUR PIPI SANCTUARY PILOT PROGRAM.
*WE ALSO NEED LAND WITHIN AUCKLAND TO HOUSE OUR SANCTUARY
