My Goal is to have HDML Kuparu up to full museum condition ready to show her off, with a circumnavigation of New Zealand in the summer on 2021, 2022 . Call into every port possible, and help keep this true piece of history alive.
Please help me finish the old HDML ex HMNZS Kuparu P3563. She was in a very sad state, and I've got her back in the water in December 2017 after a 16 month rebuild. She still needs alot of finishing work, and I want to keep her as a floating Museum piece.
I lost my lovey wife Michelle Perry on the 11th June 2016 to cancer. After a very brave 5 1/2 year battle , leaving me and my two daughters 11 & 13 devastated. I needed a project to get me going again...and she is a project...She has been up on the hard for about 15 years, and in need of saving. I cant afford to do this by myself, but I cant afford to not do this & be lying there in my 80's ( if I get there :-) ) wishing only if.....
So I am sure there are many of you salty Navy sailors out there that would love to help out.
