About Think!!!
A NEW BRAIN INJURY OCCURS EVERY 15 MINUTES IN NZ.
Brain injury can happen to anyone, anytime, anywhere – it does not discriminate
Brain injury is referred to as the Silent Epidemic as the effects go largely unseen.
“Because our injuries aren’t visible on the outside it seems as though nothing is wrong. That couldn’t be further from the truth.”
The effects and recovery of brain injury is different for each individual.
We are dedicated to improve the lives of clients and their families through:
Providing information and support to change peoples’ attitude and behaviour which effectively changes their circumstances.
Sharing strategies to help clients deal and cope with stress and daily activities for better well-being.
Advocating and supporting clients at meetings where applicable.
Support Group meetings and other events enabling people to connect socially with others who understand, thereby reducing isolation.
Raising awareness of brain injury in the community through monthly education sessions, regular seminars and displays.
Our community seminars are provided for clients, families and a wide cross section of professionals and providers to enable them to understand the impact brain injury has on the person and their families’ lives.
