This is dedicated to one of the most hard working teachers I have ever come across. Roshni Gounder known as Mama G by her students never gave up her battle with blood cancer. She was a small lady with a huge heart and glowing a smile. She was my high school chemistry teacher who pushed me to the best of my ability. She believed in me even when I couldn't see the light at the end of the tunnel and because of her I have made it to the University of Otago studying health science - something that was far from my list of possibilities. A pass was never good enough for her, if you were to pass an assessment or an exam you were to pass it with a high grade. She dedicated so much of her time to her students - having tutorials before and after school, and her room was always opened for us. She was one selfless woman. After being diagnosed with cancer she continued to teach even in her last days on this earth. Her hard work and dedication has inspired me so much her efforts were to be recognized.
