Please help these Chisnallwood Ukulele Players get to the Kiwilele Festival.

Canterbury

The Chissy Uke players have worked hard all year learning a lot of music especially to take part in the Kiwilele Festival in Auckland but the rise in airfares has put the total cost out-of-reach.

Dylan, a member of the uke group, entered the rap competition for this festival earlier this year and has just heard this week that he won! Dylan would love to get to perform his rap verse with all 3000 ukulele players in Auckland at the celebratory 10th anniversary Kiwilele Festival run by the NZ Ukulele Trust!

This group from the Chissy Ukes are a small but dedicated group of uke students who need a little financial help to be able to afford to go.

For half of the group, ukulele is the only instrument they play and this is the only performance group they are in, so it would mean so much to get to this festival, and visit a city they have never seen, and perform the pieces they have been working on for so long.

Please help them get to Auckland for the 2016 10th anniversary Kiwilele Festival!

The students pledged and have now paid $220 each towards the trip as the maximum they could afford before the trip would be not possible for them. They have been fundraising to earn the rest of the travel fares. We need to try to find funding to cover the rest of their fares.

All money raised on this page will go to cover the rest of the travel fares. Any extra will cover ground travel and perhaps a real treat of visiting the Auckland tower (if there is enough). Any above that will go to the ukulele department at school - maintenance and ukulele resources.
