Fades to >Black is Zane Bartlett. A young nomad with failing sight. His poetic blog will take you a journey only Zane could pave. He suffers from a condition called Retinitis Pigmentosa. A condition which slowly will fade his vision to black. His tales dont require sympathy. Zanes optimism for life out weighs his disabilty and the bigger curiosity for Zane is the condition of mortality.

The hope is to inspire people of all ages with a disability to travel. With Zane's know how, tales of battling through his condition and not letting it defeat him. His particular interest is other Sight Impaired travellers and through descriptive writing in Zanes quirky poetic style painting a picture and sparking all the senses. Not limited only to the disabled, he pushes the limits to leave those completely able in awe.

Follow Zane as him and his wife drive Eveyln there newly acquire temperamental 96 Ford Escort through North America. Ride the highs and lows of an inspirational young man as he treks North. Zanes wit sparks conversation and leads him into the hearts and homes of all walks of life. He asks the questions which ponder life, death and what if everything ‘Fades to Black’.

I am the creator of the project. The writer of the blog. And take most of the photos (my lovely wife takes some too).

Use of funds

Currently am in need of a laptop. I have been working off my phone, and things take 10 times longer than it could. The funds raised would help contribute to the cost.
