Help save the Athol Church this Easter! It's time to make sure this sanctuary is restored for this generation and for future generations.
Southland
We've got the contract to purchase this gorgeous church in Athol. Now we just need the $$$ finance to secure it.
Too many churches have been lost as national treasures, lost to the local communities and lost to our nation.
New Zealand was built on a Foundation of Faith, let's keep it that way!
The new trust will ensure the church is used as a place of prayer and a place of worship and a place that all visitors can enjoy and reflect.
It's on a busy State Highway, 55km south of Queenstown, and can be used by many as a place to stop for a moments reflection and to enjoy what will be a stunning restored space.
So much love has previously gone into this building, it's so much more than a beautiful building and a beautiful sanctuary, it can once again be a place of Hope and Healing and a reminder to all that God is truly with us.
To go unconditional and secure the church and large property we need only another $140,000 by 8th May!
We would need extra funds beyond that for arborists and to clear the property etc and to be debt free, but our first stage is to go unconditional with the contract.
$140,000 is only 10 gifts of $14000 or 2 gifts of $70,000 or 700 people pledging $200 each or a combination.
It's a very achievable goal and we'd love Kiwis near and far get behind this restoration and see the church used again.
Your gift for the dedicated Trust would be a pledge, that is only made when we know we have secured the church we have the deal unconditional.
