Help Get Mia to South America

I have realized that life is about the stories we leave behind. After 22 years of the unknown I finally understood my purpose is to travel, care-for and influence others.

My dream has always been to travel to South America and learn the history, culture and language. I wish to become the best Kiwi ambassador I can possibly be, by showing our carefree way of life while helping anywhere I can and learning from those I encounter about their beautiful cultures, languages and traditions.

Please help me with this opportunity to fulfill my dream and tick my biggest goal off my bucket list!

On the 14th of May 2015 I will be setting out to America to teach boys 6-16 years old Arts and Crafts at Summer Camp in America after 3 months on the 8th August.

From camp I will begin my travel towards South America, to become educated on the colourful culture that is South America! This will be done by immersing myself in their culture by learning the language and giving back to the community. I will be donating all my resources, time and skills via acts of kindness, volunteering, childcare and English teaching along my travels.

Being a single female traveling alone with only a backpack through South America I am greatly appreciative of any donations (large or small), well wishes, tips and tricks or supportive contact people that could assist me in my once in a life time journey!

Where I plan to backpack my way through: New York, North Carolina, Mexico, Cuba, Peru, Brazil, Colombia. As well as everywhere in between that my budget and contact base will allow for.

Any help to achieve my goal of $5,000 NZD to fund my volunteering section of my trip would be greatly appreciated. Anything large or small will go towards costs incurred while in the country such as insurance, vacations, medication, accommodation, food, visas, gifts for my hosts and basic necessaries to donate towards those I can assist.
