This audition is something I’ve been aiming for since I started playing cello. Help me achieve my dream!

ABOUT ME
I am a 23 year old cellist. I started the cello at age 5, so nearly 19 years of playing now! I love all genres of music (not just classical), but my favourite is Baroque; which is music from around 1600 - 1750.
THE PROJECT AND DREAM
I very recently received an email inviting me to an audition for the Berliner Philharmoniker Akademie in Germany, at very short notice. What’s on offer, if I am accepted, is an amazing two year internship, €700 per month living expenses, participation in samples, recordings, and concerts, with 121 services each year.
This is the dream, my project is to get there! The $4000 will cover flights to Berlin and accommodation and related expenses whilst I’m there to audition.
TIMELINE:
Unfortunately my deadline couldn’t be more urgent! They have only given me about 6 weeks notice to get all the way to Germany. The audition is on the 22nd of October and I need to let them know by the 17th whether or not I’m going to be attending.
BACKGROUND:
I went to a performing arts school (The Corelli School) in Auckland and this really helped spark my passion for performing.
While at school I played in a number of chamber music groups; one of my groups won the University of Auckland Music Academy chamber music competition.
I graduated last year with First Class Honours in performance music from the University of Waikato. In 2012 me and my group won the Waikato University chamber music competition (in the same year another group I was in was in the finals). I have really enjoyed my time at university, and I can’t imagine doing anything with my life other than playing music.
Since I was 14 I have be playing in semi-professional and professional orchestras around the North Island of New Zealand and I have known since then that it was my passion and what I wanted to do for the rest of my life.
JOIN MY JOURNEY:
I will be creating a blog about my journey just before I leave. I will talk about my experiences, share photos, and take you on the journey with me to experience the wonderful classical music culture in Berlin.
I am Jason. This is my project to realise my dream!
Blog created 1 October 2014
Hey everyone,
I've created my blog well in advance of leaving.
The direction I will take with the blog is no hugely clear to me yet, but I will definitely be talking about what I'm up to over there. It will also include things that I'm interested in: visits to museums, country walks, and food of course.
Here's the link should you wish to follow my life in Germany:

Kind regards to all!
Jason
