Milo the rescue rat was neglected, needs an open infected wound mass removed by surgery.
Canterbury
Poor wee Milo has spent his whole life outside in the freezing cold being so neglected that his owners didn’t even notice when he had a tumour burst on stomach. Going untreated for so long means that it has now hardened and turned into scar tissue, the only option is for him to be put down or to have life-saving surgery.
Milo deserves to live a proper chance at life, to be warm and feel loved! Please help me to make that a possibility for him. Anything you can spare can help to give him life.
Unfortunately I am studying so funds for the surgery are outside of my budget, but I believe every rat deserves the chance to live their best life - and no animal deserves to live with an injury like this.
Surgery - $384.1
Cytology - $65
Total: $449.1
If the target is exceeded the excess will go on rat toys and treats to help his recovery.
Bad news 10 July 2018
Unfortunately, at the last vet visit they told us the wound is too far gone to be operated on. We are currently doing end of life care for Milo, before putting him down.
