Help stop developers chopping up the rural land around Arrowtown

The rural land on the Western side of McDonnell Road in Arrowtwon is under threat. The Hlls, Feeley and Newman Guthrie are out to calve up the land at the expense of the environment for their own already deep pockets. This will ruin the rural character that informs the the beautiful community of Arrowtown. We are asking for your support to fund an expert evidence based defence to knock out. There have been 2 Environment Court decisions that support our claim but the developers still keep on coming. We belive in defending the rural character of Arrowtown

Update on our quest to retain the rural land on the West side of McDonnell Rd in Arrowtown 8 November 2022
What a process it has been! Honestly, the dramas we have been through this month are something to behold.
So we are still in the game and we are steam rolling to a hearing on the 13-15 December. Our legal Counsel believes our case is "very important". Council's expert is also saying the land's capacity to absorb housing does not fit with the Precinct Zoning, which is supporting our expert's view. Meaning, it looks like we are in a strong position.
The whole deal is going to cost in the order of $60K. The Hanan family have invested $18K to date, legal Counsel is $40K so we really are a bit short.
What has been achieved by Mark Hosie, Ken Swain and all those who have contributed has been absolutely heart warming. I could not have done it alone. I now feel that when I stand in Court the Community are standing with me. We are "on the side right" quote from Phil Blakley.
