👙UPDATE - 11,250 METERS SWUM🩲

Thanks to everyone who has donated so far we are so grateful to you all.

Last weekend we did our swim and what a great time (and way harder than I thought) for a great cause.

Basils Bunch completed a total of 11,250 meters in 1 hour.

Lyndsay Wright also completed 220 meters and added it to the whānau tally - what a great fete!

To date we have raised over $2000 for this great cause and hopefully still rising.

A big thank you to the Carterton Lioness’ for counting our lengths. To Catherine for her support and organising of this great event. And to Russell Russell Geange Swim Academy for coming down and supporting us on the day (and probably cringing out our techniques and abilities 🤣).

There was lots of laughs, different swimming styles 🏊‍♀️, body shapes 🫢, abilities( even some butterfly in the mix) and of course some competition 🤦‍♀️🤣, which lead to cheating!!!

Our awesome Basils Bunch team consisted of Rex Playle (Basil) and Barbara Playle and their team of:

- 4 daughters (Kiri Playle, Tania Scott, Neens and Ana-May Gudsell)

- 2 son in laws (Nick Scott, Andi)

- 8 Grandchildren (Cohen Scott, Neve Bruce, Kai, Macey Bruce, Zak, Taine, Poppy, Indy May)

- 1 mother in law (Sandra Scott)

- 1 best friend (Vicki Crawley)

- 1 adorable blondie 💕 (Ava Chloe Frederiksen)

Let’s all try and get behind this awesome fundraiser - it’s so important that this facility gets its upgrade and stays open.
