Participating in Sustain 2000 Otara Kai Village November Challenge
We are a vibe, crazy loud bunch of ladies, Which love family, food and the Lord. We are definite NOT the typical type of OUTLAW that you maybe thinking of, We are the ones who would take in and add to our families to what most people wouldn't. and this is what i feel our Otara area is sometimes been betrayed to be like most times.
This project is to help keep our space 'The Otara Kai Village" to continue doing their magic.
This month i am doing a challenge and have asked a few of my fellow sisters and help me walk 100kms for November in return that you will donate to this kaupapa, This journey is to help continue our mahi for our Otara community with The Otara Kai Village, If you are not familiar with our mahi/work, we have many creative and awesome Projects (Which most of us are from Otara, or have growing up with in Otara)
This is a few of them:
* The Otara Kai Village,
*The Otara Bike Burb,
* Maara Kai (Community Garden)
* My Street,
During this Lock down of 2021 we have been distributing 350 Kai , sanitizers , mask to our Elderly residents of Otara and Hills Road courts weekly, as well as the wider community with in south Auckland.
The Otara Kai Village have created safe and positive whanau events for all to join, example Easter celebrations, Celebrate Culture Languages, Light Functions, Christmas events and so much more.
So if you would like to support a kaupapa that is for our people then please donate will a willing heart 💜
