We are raising money for the Diabetes Otago youth camps. These camps provide an opportunity for young people living with type 1 to have some fun, meet other kids with Type 1 and for families to have a break.

Our amazing Rose was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes in December last year. Just over a month after her diagnosis Rose had the amazing opportunity to attend the diabetes kids Camp. After what was a very traumatic time, it was a wonderful experience for Rose to meet other kids with type 1 and feel part of a community.

On average, fundraisers pay just 2% to use Givealittle. This is one of the lowest effective fees in New Zealand fundraising. We charge a 5% platform fee to cover the cost of running the platform. Because most donors choose to top up their donation to cover this fee, the effective cost paid by fundraisers is about 2%. That means around 98 cents of every dollar raised goes to the cause.
