Hi my name is Whaea Nix, I am the Year 0-4 Navigator at Te Kura o Otangarei. I decided to take on the Classic 100 and walk 100kms across the month of March to challenge myself, as well as my whānau, my Dreamers and my kura whānau to be more active and healthy.

After completing the Beach to Basin on Sunday March 2nd I am more motivated than ever to get out and about, and take on more physical challenges that help support positive wellbeing.

Support me by donating through this page with any donation amount that you can spare - every dollar counts towards the work we are doing to inspire our tamariki to discover who they are, what their life's journey is, and who they want to be.

  • Support me this March as I take on the Classic 100 challenge

Hi, my name is Jodie Hannam, I have been working as the Funding and Partnership Manager for I Have a Dream since 2021. My role has been to strengthen and grow relationships within the local Northland community and I have been working behind the scenes for many years to align I Have a Dream with incredible local events such as the Classic 100. As well as helping us raise awareness about what we do, this event is closely aligned with our values of prioritising health and wellbeing.

From a personal perspective, I am taking this opportunity to kickstart my fitness and activity levels, and to lead by example for our team and community.

Consider supporting me to take on this challenge by making a donation through this page. Your support helps us enable futures through education and opportunities for kids right here in Whangārei. Over 1,150 Dreamers from Years 1-14 are enrolled in I Have a Dream across our 4 partner schools in the Tikipunga and Otangarei communities.

I believe that all children deserve access to as many opportunities as possible in order to find out what they’re good at or what they’re passionate about.

“Every child has something inside them, a talent, you just need to find the key. I love being able to work with our supporters to find those opportunities, and see the differences it can make in our Dreamer’s lives”
