Tron Troopers taking on the Craigs 50km March challenge

Craigs Investment Partners will again be having a nationwide fundraiser to raise funds for New Zealand’s regional rescue helicopters.

Our goal is to complete over 50kms each and every day throughout March.

Our Hamilton team, ‘The Tron Troopers’, have our game plan ready and are ready to take on this challenge in full force.

The Tron Troopers are; Aaron Vercoe, Brandon Weal, Chantal Baxter, Codi Merito, Graham Roberts, Juliette Christieson, Lachie Craine, Laura Thomas, Maria Heslop, and Murray Finch.

Whether we have been rescued, seen a rescue happening, or might need to be rescued at some point in the future, we all know the hard work our Rescue Helicopters do to keep everyone safe; both at home and while we are out exploring our great Kiwi outdoors. You never know when you or a family member might need them, and a small contribution today goes a long way in keeping this life saving service operating 24/7 in our communities.

The Philips Search & Rescue Trust is in charge of the Rescue Helicopters in our Region and we think it is very special to be able to support those people that put the lives of others before their own, each and every day.

Thanks so much for your support, we very much appreciate it. We will do our best to have an awesome month exploring our backyards, clocking up the Km’s, and ultimately raising funds for this very special cause.

9,061km's and $1,700 later, the 50KM a day challenge for March has been a blast!

The Tron Troopers team have been kayaking, climbing, hiking, running, cycling, playing rugby, swinging the cricket bat, badminton, swimming, and everything in between. Throughout the month we’ve taken our friends and family out for that extra walk to explore somewhere new and create memories that will last forever. If you think back to our main goals, these were to have some fun, get moving, and to raise money for our local Helicopter trusts, and when we reflect over these, we’ve far exceeded our goals!

Through the generosity of each of you, your friends, family and clients, through both time and resources, we have helped support an essential service in our communities and I think we all can be very proud.

Let’s keep some of those good habits up for the rest of the year and by March 2023 we will be ready to continue and build upon this amazing work!
