Participating in Mount Everest 10 Year Anniversary Challenge 2024
Bay of Plenty
It’s time to give it a go! Be more active, more often … The Breeze Mount Everest Challenge is back for the 10th time.
Nga mihi … an awesome response to this kaupapa. The challenge is to climb up Māuao, 38x in 50 days (equivalent of climbing Mount Everest) to help raise much needed funds for the Mount Lifeguard Service, Omanu Beach and Papamoa Surf Lifesaving Clubs.
To accommodate for whanau, we have titivated the challenge to include walking around the base, and due to traffic craziness and parking, also include Papamoa Hills and walking for approximately one hour in and around an area that fits for you.
As a team we can spread the 38 climbs/hikoi across the crew. Obviously you can do your hikoi as many times as you want, we can surpass the 38x, not a problem. The challenge runs from Monday (today) to Easter Monday.
Back for 2025! 24 January 2025
We are BACK for 2025 and so excited to be supporting our local SPCA.
Our local SPCA is in urgent need of new facilities to better care for animals. This includes building new kennels to provide a safe and comfortable environment for the animals in their care.
