Desexy Revolution

New Zealand has one of the highest levels of pet ownership per person, well ahead of the United States, the United Kingdom and Australia.

Nationwide

A 2011 survey conducted by NZCAR revealed that nearly a third of New Zealand households owns a dog. Despite these figures hundreds, possibly thousands of dogs in Auckland are put to sleep in pounds and shelters every year because there simply are not enough homes for them all.

Desexy Revolution is a community of likeminded organisations who have come together to help end this sad outcome for many unwanted puppies and dog, and to educate owners on the benefits of desexing.

Did you know that a desexed pet is less likely to develop cancer or other diseases of the reproductive organs, such as testicular cancer, cystic ovaries, ovarian tumours, acute uterine infections and breast cancer in females, and also other diseases such as mammary cancer, perianal tumours and perianal hamias?

How about that the majority of dog bites are committed by unneutered males?

By supporting Desexy Revolution you not only help ease the saturation levels and help keep pets healthy, but you also stand to make the community safer for our children too
