♡ PLEASE HELP OTIS ♡

$305 of $1,400 goal
Given by 16 generous donors in around 6 months

Otis the rescue cat has been shot in West Auckland. He has lost part of his jaw as a result and we need your help to fund his medical costs.

Nationwide

Otis is a young cat we rescued earlier this year. We are shocked and saddened that he was shot by an air rifle in Bethells, West Auckland (December 2018) and sustained a broken jaw in two places and has also lost some teeth. Unfortunately we have no idea if this incident was intentional or an accident but we are committed to ensuring that Otis is given all he needs to recover.

We can only be thankful that he has survived this brutal attack. He has had to have part of his lower jaw removed but he is now back home and recovering well. We have been advised by the vet that he will still be able to eat and drink by himself and that there shouldn't be any ongoing problems.

With his surgery coming to $1400 we would greatly appreciate any help towards these costs if anyone is interested in donating.

About us

The Chained Dog Awareness NZ Trust was created in 2001 to inform people of the increasing number of dogs that are permanently chained or locked away and for whom existence is a living hell.

We ensure that someone speaks up for them and we attempt to alleviate their suffering. We ultimately wish to see a total ban on life-chaining in New Zealand.

Use of funds

To help with the cost of Otis' medical expenses which come to $1400.

Any surplus money will go towards the care of life-chained dogs that we are helping.
