We are fundraising to help us grow the reach of our over-subscribed workshops and borrow-a-camera programs. Every $ raised goes directly towards reaching and benefiting 100s of students, their whānau, and 1000s of community members. Please consider donating - no amount is too small!
We love being able to offer our kids photography workshops for free. Hearing from families about the wellness, creativity and appreciation for nature that comes from our workshops warms our hearts and drives us forward. Your help would allow us to continue growing healthy, environmentally conscious, amazingly talented tamariki.
Our young generation is disconnected from nature, in large part from technology over-use, rising pace of life and city living. Rising anxiety, declining mental well-being and our planet's health are critical issues for us all. We run workshops and programs that take young people outdoors, build their artistic photography skills and scientific knowledge of our precious earth, and deepen their wellness by connecting with nature. Since 2019, we have conducted 220+ workshops with 1383+ participants, published 25 books and magazines, hosted 15 exhibitions and have had 79 youth participate in our borrow-a-camera programs.
About us
IMAgEN8 is a registered charity whose purpose is to foster sustainable connections with New Zealand's natural environment in our diverse communities through education, photography and technology.
Use of funds
Website hosting costs (imagen8.co.nz), exhibition space rental, prints, certificates, buying assets like camera lenses and bags, insurance. All management, photography mentor, coordinator, social media work is done by volunteers.
