A 'must win' situation you can champion.

Recently our friend Richard was diagnosed with a rare liver cancer. It was not predictable from family history, and not triggered by lifestyle choices. It is purely bad luck. But that is not the end of misfortune. The cancer wasn't detected until it had spread throughout his liver, and can't be treated by radiotherapy. While has has a great care team around him, part of the treatment plan for the best outcome is unfunded (Keytruda). This leaves Richard and his family with a significant financial burden.

That's the problem, now this is why we care to have Richard with us. Richard and his wife are both school teachers who give immeasurably more than 'work hours' to their students. Richard's passion for teaching Biological sciences inspires and lifts countless young people to become more than they thought possible for themselves. And on the topic of young people, his own three teenage children NEED to have their father strong and present at this critical time of their lives.

To put it simply...

We must do all we can to keep this man here for his family, friends, and community. You may never know Richard directly; but he has a lot more he wants to give - and that is why he deserves our help.
