Support Papakura and Takanini Family Service Centres

Auckland

Family Service Centres located in Papakura and Takanini, are true community hubs, supporting and assisting families in the wider Counties-Manukau area who are challenged with education, health and social issues. The Centres promote safety, well-being, and learning for children and their families.

The Papakura Family Service Centre model was devised and developed by Dame Lesley Max and was opened in 1992. Our Takanini Family Service Centre then opened in 2014.

Our approach is to give a hand up along the way, giving people and communities the support and tools they need to meet their own goals and objectives and find solutions to their problems. Our services include:

- Social Services

- Counselling

- Social Workers in Schools (SWiS)

- Papakura Early Learning Centre

- Takanini Licensed Playgroup

- HIPPY Papakura

- HIPPY Takanini

- Community Services and Facilities

Each year we support over 800 families in Papakura and Takanini through our integrated services. We are currently in need of replacing our old van so we can continue our services without disruption, and reach out to more community members.
