A Second Chance at Life — Help Me Rebuild After Sudden Heart Failure

On the morning of February 14, my life changed without warning.

One moment I was planning an ordinary day — the next, I was fighting for my life. Sudden heart failure led to open-heart surgery, followed by complications that kept me in care for two months.

When I finally came through it, everything I had built was gone.

My home. My relationship. Even my two rescue cats — my constant companions, and the ones who brought me the most comfort — are no longer with me. Losing them has been the hardest part of all.

At 67, I am starting again from nothing.

But I am not finished.

I’ve spent my life as a designer, author, photographer, and creative. I still have my skills, my experience, and my determination to work. I don’t want to simply survive — I want to rebuild, to create, and to earn my way forward.

What I’m missing are the basic tools to begin again.

I’m asking for help to access a refurbished MacBook Pro and essential creative software, so I can return to work and support myself.

This isn’t about starting over. It’s about reclaiming a life that was suddenly interrupted.
