Support me on my journey to South Korea, to compete in the Decathlon at the World University Games.
Auckland
This season I travelled back and forth between New Zealand and Australia, chasing my goal to qualify for my first 'World' competition. Along the way I won
- several medals at the NZ Secondary School Nationals, as well as winning the award for the Most Promising Multi Eventer of the meet
- Silver in the Queensland Champs Open Decathlon
- Silver in the NZ Champs Open Decathlon (with my World University qualifier of 6983 points)
- several medals at the NZ individual Champs
- Gold in the Australian Champs Under 20 Decathlon
As a result of my hard work and performances this season I have been selected to represent NZ in the Decathlon at the Oceania Champs in Cairns in May, as well as qualifying and being selected for the World University Games in July.
I am currently ranked #1 in NZ for Decathlon as an Under 20 (7379 points), and #2 as a Senior (6983 points) which puts me 20th on the NZ All Time List. My Under 20 score is currently the 2nd best in the world this year, and would have placed me 15th at last years World Junior Champs.
As the World University Games is a self-funded competition costing $7,500, any support I receive will definitely be appreciated!
