Join Me on a Journey of Fun, Fitness, and Inclusion!
Having completed the London and New York City marathons, I'm excited to approach the finish line of the Tokyo Marathon (on March 1st). With three more world major marathons ahead—Chicago, Boston, and Berlin — my journey is far from over!
Yes, marathons can be tough (some might even say madness), but I’m taking things up a notch by completing them in a wheelchair — dressed as a squirrel, no less! Why? Because I believe in spreading joy through the unexpected. When people see a racing wheelchair athlete, in a squirrel suit, it brings a smile, and sparks conversations about inclusion and fitness.
My mission is to inspire others to embrace fitness at any level. By showcasing fun in movement and encouraging everyone to get involved, I hope to motivate you to chase your own goals, however big or small.
Every race is more than just a physical challenge; it’s an opportunity to connect with incredible individuals, to share our stories, and to celebrate our progress together. Life is about moving forward, not just reaching a destination. Let's progress together—one marathon at a time!
I also love sharing my journey through speaking engagements. If you believe my story could resonate with your group, school, or team, please reach out!
Support My Journey! Your contributions will help fuel my races and enable me to continue spreading positivity and inclusiveness in the fitness community. Together, we can inspire smiles and make a difference!
All funds raised will go towards my challenge. Flights are about $1500 for each event, approx $3500 for 4nights accommodation at each event, and so on... All funds help, directly towards the events themselves, or towards protein powder, electrolytes, etc
Time ticks on... 24 March 2026
Cheers again for your continued support.
So, as you are probably aware, I wasn't successful with my Tokyo marathon. However, this does mean I get another 365days to practice my Japanese before returning to Tokyo! I just need to push harder, for longer, basically. I left too much in the tank, and not enough on the track!
Onwards and upwards eh... I have some upcoming national events, (yes, did squirrel Round the Bays 3 days after landing from Japan), a 10km in Chch early April, followed (perhaps) by Run the Night in Tauranga early May... leading into Chicago Marathon in October, coming home for the Auckland Marathon early Nov, which brings me back around to the Tokyo Marathon 2027 early March!
Eeek, the years just swish by my face!
Again, it's been a blast, and I'll post another Give a Little event towards the end of this year, it's all helping... Cheers ears!! :-D
