Ajana is 10 year old girl who was born with talipaes and has had numerous operations to correct her tendons ongoing visits to the hospital for checkups.

This lead to her having dislocated hips and under went a operation at the age of 2 and was put in a hip spica(full body cast) this was again repeated at the age of 4 and a half she now has xrays a few times a year to keep an eye on them.

She gets asthma during the winter tests were done and an xray showed her lungs are too small for her body.

Clubbing of the thumbs which can cause kidney problems and more she also has regular xrays scans to keep an eye on.

Over the past 2 years just when we thought things may be looking up she gets diagnosed with absent seizures a form of epilepsy and can have up to 100 a day. To make things worse her seizures are triggerd by the sun and living in one of the sunniest places in the north island doesn't make things easier. Exposed to too much sun her brain goes into a state of confusion and causes her to become disorientated upset and confused to the point she don't know where she is or what she is doing loses her balance to stand and sees objects that aint even there and don't remember family members shes around everyday.

To add to the list over 6 months ago she was also diagnosed with Ehlers Danlos Syndrome type 4 which can be life threatning. It is a condition of the skin where it is thin and easily cut open and bruised ruptures can happen easy by not much force.

We have been advised that her learning difficulties could have been caused due to her illness and now are in the process of home schooling a couple days a week to keep her contact with the sun limited I would love to get some shading covers put up in the backyard so she can spend more time outdoors without worrying something might happen. Would also like to get her extra learning help. Thanks for taking the time to read this.
