Assistance in costs for Alice Cat’s dental surgery for treatment of Feline Stomatitis
Wellington
My Alice cat has been feeling a little under the weather with sore looking gums. A trip to the vet has shown that she has been diagnosed with Feline Stomatitis.
Feline Stomatitis has meant that her gums are inflamed and eating is painful. If left untreated it will also compromise her immune system.
The best treatment for quality of life and chance of recovery is a full teeth extraction that has been quoted at approx $1600 - $2000. The surgery is likely to take 4 hours of intensive work.
Cats that have a full teeth extraction can go on to live happy healthy lives once initial healing has completed.
Alice has been a part of my family from the age of 8 weeks old. She’s now 9 years old and has a full clean bill of health apart from her teeth and gums.
I am hoping to raise funds to help with the vet care needed so Alice can live comfortably without pain.
Alice’s surgery is booked for 30/06/20.
Funds will be used for vet costs and medication incurred in getting the dental treatment required for Alice. Any surplus funds would be given to a local cat rescue agency.
Next surgery booked for 27/7 10 July 2020
Alice’s healing is going well, so this means we are ready for the next round of surgery to make her fully toothless.
Thank you so much for your support in helping Alice. It’s very much appreciated.
