To be able to attend the 2019 Oceania Athletics Championships in June.
Waikato
I have been loving every minute of athletics since the start of 2017. Over these past couple of years, I have been to three NZ Championships and also the Victorian Championships once in Melbourne.
Now I have been selected to represent New Zealand at the Oceania Championships in Para F41 Shot Put. These Championships will also be my last chance to qualify for the World Championships in Dubai. I have currently met the minimum, but would like to try and get as close as I can to a 'B' qualifier to help with my selection.
I currently hold the NZ record in Shot Put, as long as Discus, Javelin and the 100m sprint. I also sit around 20th in the World for Shot Put.
When I'm not dancing through the circle at Porritt Stadium, I'm studying towards a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy. I love playing Wheelchair Rugby, which I find supports my throws in terms of cardio and upper body strength. I also sit on the Parafed Waikato Board as a 'Youth Representative'.
