Poor Archie has been in a terrible accident. His leg is badly broken and we need all the help we can get to get him on the mend

Sadly Archie the pug has been in an accident
After being rescued by Aimee from a life of living in a cage since he was a puppy, pooing in his water bowl and not knowing how to be a dog, Archie now lives on a farm and lives the life of luxury with his huntaway cross brothers. He has just celebrated his 3rd birthday and is a very spoilt fur child and like anyone out there with animals you will know how it feels to see them in pain.
Yesterday Archie was on the back of his dads Ute like he usually is when the car is being moved from garage to driveway but he was accidentally pushed off by a larger dog and landed full force on his front legs.
His right humerus has split straight up the middle, off to the side and through the joint surface. A large chunk of bone has also broken off.
This poor boy needs urgent surgery to fix this terrible break, nursing and possibly rehabilitation to get back to his free and happy self.
The surgery is going to cost approx. $5000 with ongoing costs and with my sister having seasonal work at an outdoor pursuits center money is tight to get Archie on the mend.
Obviously we are going to do everything in our powers to help but anything extra will go a long way. Any donations are much appreciated!
I am Aimee’s older sister and seeing her and her fur child like this breaks my heart. I want to do everything I can to help and having this page will be hugely helpful with the financial side of things.
Any funds raised will go towards vet bills, rehabilitation and care for Archie.
Archie’s recovery update 11 September 2018
Archie is home from his surgery which unfortunately didn’t go to plan. He now has 18 screws permanently in his leg as his bone is dead. He is not allowed to move faster than a walk or be on anything but carpet or grass for 5 months. He still requires Atleast 3 more X-rays to see how his leg is recovering and he needs rehab to learn how to swing his straight leg to walk. I visited him on the weekend and he is still sniffing out all the food he can find. But mostly sleeping in his new baby cot with his cone of shame on! Hopefully the recovery process goes well 🙏🏻
