Help Us Launch the TOI WāHine Framework and Pilot Wānanga
The TOI WāHine Framework is a transformative programme designed to support wāhine navigating ruahinetanga or menopause, reconnecting them with traditional Māori practices and mātauranga. Rooted in eight holistic pathways, the framework weaves physical, emotional, and spiritual dimensions to empower wāhine during this significant life stage.
A key feature of the programme is crafting an ukutangi (Māori wind instrument), symbolising resilience and transformation. Through this process, wāhine engage in activities such as rongoā Māori, karakia, and hormone-balancing kai, while reconnecting with whakapapa and embracing their role as nurturers and healers for future generations.
We are seeking your support to bring this vision to life by hosting a pilot wānanga. Over two days, wāhine will come together to awaken their mauri, guided by the TOI pathways. The wānanga will include:
- Morning and evening rituals to ground and inspire.
- Whakapapa activities to identify and release intergenerational trauma.
- Hands-on ukutangi crafting as a metaphor for their journey.
- Empowering kai and rongoā workshops.
Ka ora te wahine, ka ora te ao – When women thrive, the world thrives.
Thank you for supporting this kaupapa. Your generosity helps us uplift wāhine and inspire future generations.
We empower wāhine and whānau through a values-based approach. From supporting wāhine in Ruahinetanga (menopause) to grandmothers raising mokopuna, your donation helps uplift wāhine, strengthen whānau, and honour ancestral wisdom.
Funds will cover venue, kai, ukutangi kits, facilitator koha, and resources for the TOI WaHine pilot wānanga. Your support helps wāhine access tools, cultural practices, and empowerment to navigate Ruahinetanga, creating lasting change for generations.
