Beau - Bringer of Light and community meditation group helper cat, needs $2000 for urgent surgery.

Canterbury

Hi, My name is Beau - and I am hoping to raise $2000 for an urgent operation for me.

I am a Khoa Manee all white cat, with piercing golden eyes and all my hearing and eyesight :)

And a Heart of Gold!

My Mum Kim is a Spiritual Teacher who runs meditation and development circles to help others - and I help!

My presence, and purring, and personality help people stay calm and relaxed while they heal.

I am currently in need of some healing myself. A few weeks ago I was not feeling well, which developed into me losing interest in food, and now water. Mum took me to the Fur Baby Doctor and an ultrasound revealed a mass in my intestine. :(

My only options are an urgent surgery, or euthanasia, and one or the other will need to be actioned this week as not eating means I am declining rapidly.

The long weekend here is making things tricky. I have been to the Vet today and will be there again on Saturday, and Mum will keep me going with liquidised food and water, with the help of these check ups, antibiotics and subcutaneous fluids until after the weekend at which point I will need a biopsy to confirm the ultrasound - and then a decision needs to be made.

I would love your help :)

Love Beau xxx

Use of funds

$400 for blood tests, ultrasound, injections, re-hydration, antibiotics - already actioned. $1600 for biopsy, surgery and associated costs. If things don't go according to plan: palliative end of life funding required. Surplus donated to local rescue cats.

Thanks so Much Tina-Lee, I REALLY appreciated it! I have been getting some liquidy food into him and as at this morning he is back up to 4.1kg. Still 1 kg less than usual, but I am hoping that he will be strong enough to deal with whatever happens on Monday morning. Much Love to you xxx
