Beaver Holland-Training around New Zealand to conquer 100km in under 12hours on November 30th, in support of men’s mental health

The challenging issues relating to men’s mental health in New Zealand are worsening, as demonstrated by suicide rates at an all-time high. I have decided to use my brand, Beaver Holland, and my social media platforms, to increase awareness and raise money for ‘Movember 2024’.
Last year, I ran 333km around New Zealand for Spark That Chat. It was one of the best months of my life, travelling around New Zealand, running every day meeting influential people, and doing exciting activities. This year, I’m planning a campaign that will be even more of a step up. As well as running in and around several venues across the country throughout the month, on November 30th I will be running 100km around Christchurch, non-stop. I’m estimating it to be about 12 hours of running. This isn’t going to be easy for me, but for lots of people, neither is speaking out.
I have teamed up with Spark That Chat, MSFT Productions, and companies around the country that will feature on my top I wear during this journey. I will be selling t-shirts and hosting events.
Don’t be afraid to speak up. Talk to a mate about what’s on your mind. I’m sure they’re going through stuff, too, so you can relate. Never feel like a burden.

“If you believe in yourself you can do anything you want” words from the legend @karan.holland as he logged his massive day/achievement in Strava. Truer words couldn’t be more spoken, it’s just the will to turn up day in day out to make it happen, if you want it bad enough you’ll do what it takes to get there.
We couldn’t be more proud of this legend for taking on such a huge quest while representing @spark_that_chat - this man lives & breathes what we stand for. Leading by example he set a huge goal, put himself out there & through hell to achieve what he now has. There was adversity & neigh sayers along the way that he had to conquer - fair to say he showed himself & the world the power of the quote above & smashed it, turning any negativity into fuel.
It’s a wild thing we’ve learnt over time but you could literally be saving the world & someone will hate on you for it. All we can say is use that as fuel and prove yourself right. Don’t give anyone the satisfaction of pulling back or stopping if it’s something you really love, are passionate about & most importantly believe in. Do what sets your soul alight.
@karan.holland talked the talk & walked the walk. We couldn’t be more proud of your efforts man.
