Girls in Ghana’s rural communities face major challenges to attending school, often having to travel long distances with the ever-present risk of sexual abuse and other forms of violence during travel. By providing bicycles for thousands of girls living in deprived areas, Hayley's Bikes for Ghana project has resulted in a huge increase in girls' enrollment, attendance and academic performance.
