Billy's fight for Life

This is our beautiful boy . Formally a rescue pup from the SPCA we have had Billy since he was 8 weeks old, he is now just over 7 years. This week he has been diagnosed with a tumor which turned out to be a carcinoma (cancer). Our local vet was treating him for an infection with antibiotics with no success. A FNA of the tumor told us the dreadful news. Billy is such a beautiful gentle fun dog he just lights up everyone who meets him, (even been dubbed Sir William by one of our members of our dog walking group). We have booked him in for a CT scan at Massey Veterinary Hospital then he will have the tumor removed then possible radiotherapy or chemotherapy or both. Just on the heels of convid and previous vet bills our finances are in disappear as our hearts are breaking at what our Billy has to face .

It is so heart breaking to watch our beautiful boy strain and look distressed as he is trying to pass stools. Sometimes up 15 times a day as the tumor is putting pressure on his bowel making him feel like he has to go all the time.

After the death of my wee 6yr daughter Bonnie from Leukemia, i began suffering from massive anxiety attacks (very frightening) well Billy has become my support dog / friend /heart. He is always right there when i need him. He is a huge part of our lives so if anyone out there could possible spare a little to help you will have our undying gratitude.
