Help us keep Glenfalloch Garden a flourishing woodland paradise for all to enjoy with brilliant birdsong and a breathtaking bubble of beauty
Otago
Imagine listening to the bush come alive with the trilling sounds of New Zealand birdlife.
Glenfalloch Garden has a mission to bring back the birdsong to Otago Peninsula. Our 30 acre magical woodland garden, saved from subdivision in 1969, is the perfect paradise to nurture a chorus of beautiful birdsong to spread throughout the peninsula. Bellbirds, Tui, Fantails and Waxeyes already fill the air with musical harmonies, dining on nectar from our glorious gardens.
However we need help to keep the garden flourishing and support the birdlife bonanza. The impact of the Covid 19 shutdown has devastated our visitor numbers and damaged our ability to fund our activities. Otago Peninsula Trust, which keeps Glenfalloch open for all to enjoy has sustained damaged to our fundraising activities - we need you to help us keep the garden open for our community, to ensure we have a place for birdlife to thrive and an enchanting restful retreat for refreshment of body and mind for our visitors.
Your donation will help with bespoke birdfeeding stations for visitors both avian and human to enjoy the ambiance. We'll continue our planting of bird-friendly flora for feasting, predator patrols for protection; and education of human fledglings to ensure conservation care for future generations. We'll support our garden team to continue to maintain this wonderful community asset for everyone to enjoy. Please help us caretake our conservation.
Otago Peninsula Trust's mission is to 'Preserve and Enhance Otago Peninsula'. A guardian and careful custodian of wildlife and heritage to benefit the wider environment and community.
Funds raised will go towards ensuring Glenfalloch Garden is maintained as a community asset to encourage flora and fauna to flourish. Funds will go to staff and infrastructure support to create a birdlife bonanza.
