2017 Project.
Where do the albatross go when they leave us for 5 years? Help us track the Royalcam webcam albatross chick on it's travels. We are fundraising for a solar powered tracking device and satellite time.
We need your help to find out where the #Royalcam Albatross Chick goes when it leaves the nest in September 2017!
Pukekura albatrosses are unique in that their colony is the only place where they can be viewed on mainland New Zealand
• The Northern Royal Albatross is a taonga species, valued and admired by all New Zealanders and international visitors
• Viewing royal albatrosses at Pukekura contributes to eco-tourism in Dunedin
• Chicks fledge in September and don't come back for 4-7 years.
• We want to track where the chick goes
• We need to buy a solar powered tracking device to fit to the albatross, we also need to but satellite time to track the chick.

Thanks Elise-Maree -we have a huge target to reach, so lets hope we get there and are able to track the chick. We've all grown so fond of it, that we will miss it, and want to know where he/she goes. All the best The Royal Albatross Centre Team
