My cancer was missed by a specialist at the end of last year and now, with only six months to live, I'd love to visit the South Island.
Hawke's Bay
I was just diagnosed with terminal cancer (six month to live) after it was missed by my specialist, back in December 2018. I and my daughters are resigned to the fact that I'm dying, after my late wife also died of cancer. My sister died in Auckland last December, and my sister in England is also terminal.
I wanted to go to Cairns, but the time to get my passport renewed and my visa's would take too long, so I decided the South Island train trips would be keeping it Kiwi.
If I raise over $5,000 (my goal), I will donate $1,000 to Menzshed
Update 15/9/2019
Cannot go to Australia due to the length of time to acquire a passport so we have decided to travel to the South Island by Train/Coach. All funds will still go towards this trip including accommodation, food, activities etc and any remaining will be donated to Menzshed Hastings. Thank you for all your support.
**
Air fares from Napier, to Auckland and Australia and accommodation, travel costs and return. Anything left after I die will go to Menzshed Inc. Hastings.
New Goal 25 September 2019
As I hope to donate $1000 to Menzshed if I receive over $5000 I have changed my goal so I can raise as much as I can for my trip and also be able to give back to my community.
