A Fundraiser Project for Catherine Fowlie's Headstone
Glen Eden, Auckland
Welcome to the Give-a-litttle for our ancestor Catherine Fowlie
Catherine's resting place is unmarked at Waikumete Cemetery, Glen Eden, Auckland.
She died on August 30, 1921.
As a group we would like to collect some funds to cover permits, the mason fee, and production of the headstone
Current feedback has been wonderful and I really look forward to working towards an unveiling ceremony over the next 6-12 months
Email me if you have further questions
This is best place to pledge $10, $20 or whatever you feel comfortable with, and an option to remain anonymous if you wish
Grateful to have the opportunity to mark this heritage site in honor of our family

Hello again, to everyone following the project
Super great work is happening AND big thanks to anyone new who has donated since I last updated
We are $200 off target. Really exciting. I am able to draw down the donations and put them to use, next month.
We will pay 50% of the quoted $3050.00 and the remainder is due on install.
I have Ivana at Crafted Memorials working closely with us now. Today I completed the 'Application for Monumental Permit’
Warren sent through a great mock up of the plague, Ivana has this, and I am awaiting her layout proof.
I love the look of 2 iconic symbols gracing the plague.
Cirsium vulgare (Scottish Thistle) and Cyathea dealbata (Silver Fern)
Note Warrens’s handy-work in the mock up (pictured) would have 2 changes:
1 - Lower case ‘a’ in Away and
2- The thistle on the left would be white, a requirement
Now is you chance to share any further recommendations or similar for the plague.
I believe we will be looking at a Spring unveiling.
I’ll keep you posted. The main thing is, Catherine’s resting place, will be named and ready for visitors later this year!
