Our wee Charlotte's life threatening fight.

Our wee Charlotte (6yrs) is currently on life support in starship hospital after contracting e-coli a few weeks ago which turned too HUS Syndrome because the ecoli wasn't picked up. Unfortunately this was the beginning of Tania's and our families worst nightmare. Charlotte's body was slowly shutting down her red blood cells were being destroyed, her kidneys started to fail, she suffered a large seizure and her lungs were compromised.
Charlotte is now fighting for her wee life and is in a induced coma in ICU. Starship specialists, doctors and nurses are doing everything in their power to keep our wee Charlotte alive! Charlotte is currently still heavily sedated on life support and dialysis. We are praying every minute for a Christmas miracle for our wee Charlotte as she puts up her biggest fight.

Charlotte's Home 20 February 2023
Just a quick wee update. Charlotte has made great progress since being back home. She is now able to hold her head up on her own and following and focusing on things and people. Last week she even reached out to pat our Cat, which was such an awesome thing for us to see!
She is a strong determined little girl and I have no doubt she'll be up and walking in no time.
