Cheryl Neil is walking more than 1000km across Spain on a pilgrimage to raise money for the Dunedin Night Shelter
Dunedin, Otago
Dunedin primary schoolteacher Cheryl Neill is embarking on a massive challenge of walking more than 1000 kms of the Camino De Santiago, beginning on the French side of the Pyrenees, across northern Spain to Santiago De Compostela and finishing in Finisterre on the Spanish Coast. It's a personal pilgrimage for Cheryl who will walk with her sister. Cheryl wants to raise money along the way for the Dunedin Night Shelter because she wants to give back to our city supporting vulnerable people who don't have a place to live. Please give to the GiveaLittle page to show your support for Cheryl & the Night Shelter
The Dunedin Night Shelter Trust runs Dunedin's only night shelter. Started in 2007 as a men's shelter, demand from the community has seen it evolve into a facility supporting anyone in need of short-term emergency housing with a hot meal and a warm bed
